Tranquil Forest Stream

Nature in its pristine state tends to be rich with biodiversity. This biodiversity exists across scales from genes to ecosystems, forming complex and beautiful interrelationships between the different scales. At McCann Lab we research the non-random “structure” (biostructure; see definitions below) of nature that lies behind biodiversity and yields the critical ecosystem services and stability.

Our work is tied heavily to the applied goals of the

Center for Ecosystem Management.
